Since opening, Little Lambs has built up a strong team of staff which currently numbers 12. To be able to work with children, coping with all the challenges it presents, staff have to be special. We are regularly complemented on our staffs gentle and friendly approach with both children and parents.

The nursery is owned by Sam Walsh and Richard Maitland-Price. I, Sam, am the nursery manager and have 7 years experience. I have also had the opportunity and experience of working in many childcare settings such as local schools, various day nurseries, nannying and creches. I qualified for my Diploma in Childcare and Education back in 2002 and graduated from university with BA(hons) in Childhood studies in 2005. I also have attended many training courses alongside the nursery such as sign language, child protection, behaviour management, health and safety, manual handling, food hygiene and first aid to name but a few!! 

All staff attend regular in-house and recognised training updating their knowledge all the time. First Aid, Child Protection, Food Hygiene, Planning are just a few of the courses the staff attend, with them regularly being updated as and when needed. All of our staff are fully police checked.

Good links with local colleges enables the nursery to participate sharing our good work practice with students of childcare, whose work in Little Lambs is always supervised and monitored. No student will ever be left alone with a child or group.
