(3months to 1 year)

Welcome to our baby room
This room can accommodate 6 babies under 12 months old. The staff ratio is 1 staff: 3 children in compliance with CSSIW.

We offer a ‘home from home’ environment in which the individuals needs and routines of every child are followed ensuring lots of loving care and attention. We aim to make your child’s day both enjoyable and stimulating. We offer ‘settling in’ sessions whereby you attend the nursery with your child for half an hour period to see how your child fits in and to meet the member of staff from the room who will be responsible.

A daily sheet is provided for each child every day recording:

  • Amounts of food and drink taken
  • Nappy Changes/Checks
  • Sleeping times
  • Activities
  • Bottles (If required)
  • And who has been looking after

So you are aware of what your child has been doing each day at nursery. A member of staff is always on hand if you have any questions or queries to ask.

ALL babies are provided with a nappy basket all we ask is you to fill it when the staff inform you it is running low. You are to provide Nappies, Wipes and any creams.

All children are to ensure bags; clothing and bottles are labelled with the child’s name as not to mix things up!!

Planning Activities:
We have recently implemented ‘Birth to Three framework’ into our planning. Planned activities are provided every day. Pictures are available to take home or are displayed in our baby room to make it lovely and bright. These planning activities enable our children to experience the delights of messy play including pasta play, painting, nappy art, outdoor play including walks to the local amenities, Sand play, water play and many more to give each individual child the opportunity to develop in a positive manner. Outside play is also an extremely big part of Little Lambs.

Our baby room staff pride themselves as they provide flexibility and individual care whilst actively encouraging the children to explore their environment and preferences as they blissfully enjoy their time at nursery.
